Care Instructions

Stain Resistance.

WBX Fabrics are resistant to most household stains, mild acids/alkalis, drinks and beverages as they are not absorbed by the vinyl and can be wiped off without any problem or lasting damage.

Some difficult substances such as lipstick, ball point pen ink and colouring’s should be cleaned off immediately to avoid permanent staining.

Regular cleaning with warm soapy water followed by a clean water rinse, will help retain their attractive appearance and durability.

Heavy ingrained soiling may be removed by scrubbing with a soft brush.
Strong detergents, solvent cleaners polishes or patent chemical cleaners should not be used as they are unnecessary and may cause embrittlement and cracking of the material.

Additional Care.

Special attention should be given to Head Rest and Arm Rest areas as build up of body oils/hair spray’s /perfumes will gradually cause the vinyl to harden.

The use of environmental disinfectant solutions containing bleach can be used . The solution range should be 0.5% to 1 % – which equates to between 250 ml and 500 ml of bleach per 50 litres of water. This is sometimes expressed as between 5,000 and 10,000 parts per million [ppm].

The use of proprietary chlorine release tablets, Haz-Tab & Actichlor can be used to make up the disinfectant.

Care should also be taken not to abrade the Vinyl against sharp corners, as this too will affect the appearance of the fabric, possibly wearing away the design over time.

Structural Maintenance. – Chairs and Washpoints

We have many designs of chairs some of which are a one piece shell and others with a selection of chrome/wood/ upholstered arms that are either bolted to the seat/ back or both.

Ensure regular checks to see that bolts /screws are tight and have not been removed or become undone.

The cleaning of the Alloy or Metal / Chrome Parts can be cleaned with Chrome/Alloy Polish to enhance the overall lustre but ensure that the surface is free from dust or grit before the polish is applied. We recommend that under normal conditions a soft polishing cloth with regular wipes ensure a lasting overall finish.

Ensure that the foot adjustment pedal is securely bolted to the Hydraulic Cylinder and that the grub screws are tight to make sure the foot pedal does not come detached when adjusting the seat height which can result in damaging

If the chair is fitted with our 5 star Hydraulic base please note that the black glides [pads] on the five legs on the bottom of each leg are threaded and adjustable so in the case of an uneven floor the chair can be made level by adjusting these glided to suit.

Adjust individually by turning clockwise or anti-clockwise to ensure the chair is firmly secure and level on the floor.
